Charge 5 appears to have expired after 9 months use

My 9 month old charge 5 seems to have died. Last night I plugged it in to the provided charger & it started vibrating madly for several seconds, then went 'blank screen' & now won't respond to anything. It has been charging all day & I have tried the 3 pulse rest several times but still no response. Anyone got any other suggestions before I contact customer support. It didn't have any traumas, it wasn't wet & the contacts are clean!
