Charge 5 band clasp not working

Hello,

 

I just received a brand new Fitbit Charge 5 for Chriatmas but the upper band clasp seems to be broken. The band will not lock in on the top side. I bought a new band thinking that might fix the problem but it's still not working. Any help is greatly appreciated.
