Thanks for posting about Charge 5.  My Charge 3 died (blank black screen typical just about the time the warranty expired) and I was maybe MAYBE thinking of taking FITBIT's offer of a 35% discount for another FITBIT.  But reading all the troubles and problems that are happening with other FITBIT models, I am now very leery of even thinking about another FITBIT product.  Thanks for helping me make up my mind.

Any update? Is there any way to replace the plastic connector?

I think this band is based on one of the earliest Fitbit bands which, unfortunately I lost completely shortly after purchasing in an unknown location.

I do not understand why, after improving the design of the bands, they would reintroduce a weak design.

Perhaps some engineers do not think they are fallible? That might explain the poor implementation of GPS in Charge5 .

It seems to be hit or miss on whether or not any GPS data is collected and another hit or miss on whether or not it the data collected is even remotely accurate.

Kudos to FITBIT on selling this unreliable technology to Google. Excellent business decision. I can only hope Google figures out how to reprogram it to function properly.

Otherwise, I will change brands.
