Charge 5 band keeps falling off

Upgraded (downgrade) to a charge 5  , I've had problems with the band falling off, contacted customer support and they sent me a new band, even though I told them I didn't think it was the band. I told them it seemed like a design flaw, band will pop off doing normal stuff , or if it get slightly caught on something,  even a sleeve of a jacket. I've read others with same problem, fitbit moderators suggest hearing the click when attaching band, I've done all that and it still falls off ! Yesterday fell off while I was walking my dog, I was lucky I retraced the walk and found it end of my driveway anywhere else it would of mosh likely been  lost for good. My son been telling me to switch to a Garmin. I've been with fitbit for years but today I'm looking at Garmin trackers.

Mine falls off also. When I looked at the back of it, I noticed that it doesn’t compare to the other side. I think the little clip is missing.

  • I upgraded from my Fitbit Alta to a Charge5 after having repeated problems with the strap which kept coming undone. I was afraid I would lose the watch. I followed all advice to no avail.
My charge 5 was about 12 months old, and had the same problem: one side of the strap, next to the watch kept popping open, however carefully I made it click back in. Sometimes a slight bump caused it to do that.
Sadly, it did the same thing recently whilst on holiday, the strap popped off. I did not notice, and my Fitbit Charge 5 is now somewhere in the Negev desert!
    No more Fitbit’s for me!

Mine also falls off... It's definitely not a flaw with the bands... It's on the watch/body. They know this is the case with so many people having the same issues. Its super annoying and the not keeping a charge is pretty frustrating too... And this is after they sent me a new 'pebble". Same problems. Really, fix the problems Fitbit. I'm not buying their products anymore!! Grrrr1

Hi, thanks for your reply. I am glad it is not just me! After two different Fitbits, both with the same problem - and the manufacturers must know it, my new tracker, a Garmin, arrived yesterday.
Good riddance to Fitbit!

I agree this is a design flaw. I contacted Fitbit support who provided absolutely zero help, and will not agree that design is the issue. I am on here today looking to see which other watch and platform I can migrate to and never buy Fitbit again. You can only vote with your feet
