I noticed today my time on my fitbit charge 5 is 20 minutes behind. Also 2 days ago it died way before normal battery recharge time ( it was well charged) anyone have this issue? I assume its just going out/bad. The battery i can just keep charging often but the time being off isnt acceptable. Ive tried plugging in to charge to help but still 20 minutes behind🙁

Hi there, @Kelly78666. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 5 is still unresponsive. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!

Please note that sometimes a Fitbit doesn’t seem to be charging when actually the issue is that it has become unresponsive (this can happen if the battery has been allowed to discharge completely). I'd recommend putting it on to charge on a charging wire and outlet known to be working.  Leave it on the charger for a good two hours, even if it doesn’t seem to be charging.

When it has had two hours, try restarting your Charge 5. I would recommend trying this maybe twice in a row if a first try doesn’t work.

If the above doesn't work, please see Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?

The time will be corrected once you manage to sync your Charge 5. Keep in mind that your Fitbit device may show an incorrect time if it hasn't synced or has been unpaired from your Fitbit account. Your Fitbit device uses the time of the device you're syncing with.

Regarding the battery dying suddenly,
we are not sure what might have caused this, but we would expect this to be a glitch and I would ask you to keep an eye on your Charge 5, and in the case this happens again, please let me know and I will be glad to further investigate.
