My charge 5 battery was fine, lasting days, I did the last update and straight away it affected my battery. It dies at randon times 30%, 55%, when i charge it, it will jump from 1% to 61% in literally seconds then fall to 42% while still on charge. I'm lucky to get 10 hours from a full battery now, I've tried all the help tips rebooted, restarted, cleared data history, removed & readied it to app etc . Nothing helps . Spoke to fitbit who did their usual "oh we can't help but here have 35% discount on a new one" . I've been a customer for years had the charge 3 & 4 & 5 . I'm sick of them doing this with faulty updates . Anyone else having this issue since the update ??

Same issue with mine, worked fantastic for years, holding a charge well for days of wearing/use.
Recent obvious change from one day to the next where it will start dropping charge level as soon as it’s unplugged, gets down to 35% one day, next day 4% and won’t turn until charged up.
This morning I went to put it on and it won’t turn on at all😒
You would think that if it’s an age issue, it would be a slow degradation of performance, not a hardcore drop in performance in one day.

Mine seems to do the same thing, but I feel like it has been since the switch to google! Following to see if there are any solutions posted!

Having exactly the same problem. I too have been a customer for a long time (since 2015) and am on my 3rd Fitbit. Although it is only just over a year old no one seems to care. I don’t think I will be buying another one😡

I am having the same issue. I had 70 percent charge went to bed and woke up to 5 percent. I restart my device and it randomly jumps up to 50 percent then drops back to 5 percent after syncing. I never had this issue until the latest update.

Same issue! I am on my 3rd generation Fitbit but now that it’s owned by google it has went downhill. I will not purchase another and I am looking at Garmin Vivosmart 5.

My charge 5 is doing the exact same thing since that big update. It's been charging for over 24 hours and it is only at 86%. Mine dies at 60%. I need to plug the watch in to have it turn on again. Is there some sort of update that will fix this battery issue we are all getting???

My old charge 5 stopped charging a few months ago and they sent me a new one. Now it’s dying again, just a few months later. I have been meticulous in keeping it clean, not letting it get wet at all, turning off auto on, doing everything they suggested to preserve the battery. I’m quite frustrated.

Yeah, me too. Same problem - blank screen ever since the firmware update at 2.20am. Have loved my Fitbit, but time to change methinks ….

Mine is doing the same. It drops to 3% overnight. Prior to update I would charge once a week or less.

Adding another to the mill. Wasn't sure when the upgrade was, but my Charge 5 would last over a week. This past weekend, it went to zero. Charged to 100%, and dead within minutes. Again charged it to 100% overnight, and dead within minutes. UGH> I think I may be done with Fitbit as well. Shame, was fun tracking steps with my kids. I don't think I even want to try to go to customer service, other posts seem to indicate even more frustrating.
