Charge 5 battery doesn't last 24 hours

I have had the new Charge 5 for 6 weeks now which was sent from Fitbit as a replacement for my previous Fitbit Charge 4 which stopped working during it's warranty period, and I have had ongoing issues from the very beginning. The battery discharges within a day. GPS is off, the phone is not set to always on, I have uninstalled the SpO2 app and have disabled all notifications as requested to do so by customer servcie. I have therefore disabled all of the features that were selling points of this device in order to attempt to get a decent battery life. Apparently the battery should last up to 7 days, but even with all of the features turned off, it won't even hold charge for 24 hours which is completely unacceptable. I am going round in circles with the 'customer service team' with them stating that as the product is out of warranty they will only offer a discount to purchase a new device, not replace the seamingly faulty product that has been supplied. Has anyone had a similar issue and how was this ultimately resolved?

Thank you.

I have had mine about 2 months and i noticed this morning the battery went down 12% in 8 hours of sleep.. i had major issues with the Charge 4 and i was hoping to not have to deal with the horrible customer service again..

It's awful isn't it, 'customer services' just keep going round in circles and do nothing to resolve the faulty product. Very frustrating
