I tried to submit my question via the chat but it's unavailable.
My Charge 5 was purchased in Nov 2022, so no longer under warranty.
In July, the display started showed major disfunctions (flickering green screen, then a few white lines on a black background), then stopped working.
I tried the “reset” procedure several times but there was no reaction/result.
The watch overheats when I try to charge it, no longer reports data and no longer syncs with my phone.
It appears completely dead.
Can it be repaired or must it be replaced?

Have you tried a Forced Stop on your phone? I had to do that just now to get mine to sync after not syncing for the past three days. Good luck.

I'm wondering about how it won't sync if completely dead and can't charge. But anyway, there is no repairing if physically broken. But if reach support by phone and talk through problem with them, and they decide it is done, they might offer you a discount on new purchase, basically the same as you would get when they have a sale but better than paying full price if going to buy another.

Hi Johnny, the "won't sync" is really about the "dead" watch not communicating anything to the phone. Precisely because it's dead. LOL
I suspect they'll propose a replacement but would like to do this in writing (chat, forum) vs over the phone.
Thanks for your time & input 🙂
