I've had my Charge 5 for 16 months. In that time, It's worked flawlessly, and I only had to charge it once a week. Suddenly this week, it goes from 100% to 0% and shutting off in less than an hour. When I put it on the charger, it shows 2% battery. I've tried resetting it (using the charger) at least 5 different times; it doesn't help. I don't have any extra stuff turned on (like the GPS), so I don't know what else can be shut off. It didn't get submerged, only splashed on a little bit while washing my hands. I see on this community forum that a LOT of people are having the same problem with draining the battery. What caused it, and how can I fix it without buying a new Fitbit?

Hi, thanks for confirming that you're having the same problem with your Charge 5, @malibuman67.
I've sent your information to the Customer Support team for further assistance with this, but was informed that you already have a case created or that you already got in touch with them. In this case, they will let you know if there are any options available for you.

Yes, as I said in my post, I spoke to Customer Support and their answer was, because my fitbit is 13 months old, it is out of warrenty and the only option was 35% off a new one (that I would have to pay for). This, in my opinion, in an unacceptable answer as the issue is clearly on Fitbi's side. Firbit should be replacing these as they are the ones that broke them....or at least instructing us HOW to fix them...not offering us some discount on purchasing another!

I’m having the same issue! My charge 5 used to need a charge once every 7 days. Last week it started needing charging every 24 hours. I contacted customer service and all they’ll offer me is 35% off a new one. Why oh why would I buy a replacement of the same Fitbit! I’m so annoyed cos I love this brand so much and this has put me off so much.

I feel really aggrieved! I can get it at Amazon for £99 which actually makes it more like 15% off cos I can get it cheaper and if I shopped around even more I could probably get it for much much cheaper. I am so angry with the customer service.
