My charger was working very nicely. Battery was lasting for 5 days.
This week I updated the firmware and the battery is not lasting overnight. I change the Fitbit 100% and in the morning is dead.
I have tried restarting the device without any positive result.
Any other suggestions?

You are correct. I contacted Support via chat and they were very kind to give me a replacement. But this doesn't the main concern about the firmware update impacting the battery life. I am really worried that although I will get a brand new Fitbit 5, I will still have the same problem with the new firmware.
Your technical team must address the concern of many customers experiencing the battery issues after the firmware release.

Also, it is really unprofessional to edit my original post, by the changing my subject line. You cannot try to hide that the issue is related with the firmware update. My Fitbit was working great until I applied the new firmware earlier this month.

I just received a replacement and it is running the previous version 57.20001.182.26 and battery is working fine.
I will try to avoid as much as I can the new update 1.188.58. Unfortunately support doesn't know how long would the development team to release a new version.
