My 1 year old charge 5 is not keeping its charge anymore

Do you have the firmware 194.91? If yes, welcome to the club! There are plenty of "solutions" in this forum, but depending on your luck, mostly they will not work and your Fitbit will bite the dust.
But! If you're still on firmware 188.something, consider yourself lucky! Since yours is still 1 year old, just contact support. You should be eligible for a replacement.

When my Charge 5 started having rapid battery drain, I restarted and recharged my device multiple times over several days. As soon as I noticed the battery% had a big drop, I restarted and put my Fitbit on the charger, often doing this multiple times in a day. This process eventually got my Charge 5 "unstuck" and the battery life went back to lasting 6-7 days. Although there's no guarantee that this will work, it might be worth a try.
