Hi there, @MVP2. Thanks for stopping by in the Fitbit Community Forums. It's sad to hear that your Charge 5 is not holding a charge for more than 24 hours. I'll do my best to help you with this.

If you haven't done so already, please make sure that you've followed the steps provided in this article to improve battery life in general, as this has been generally useful for other users. In addition, please complete a three pulse restart following the steps listed here below:

  1. Connect your device to the charging cable. For instructions, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  2. Press the button located on the flat end of the charger 3 times (end if the USB cable), pausing for 1 second between presses. Then wait 10 seconds or until the Fitbit logo appears.

The battery can last up to 7 days; because battery life is affected by use and other settings, actual results may vary, but the battery shouldn't be draining only after a few hours.

@michdourado It's nice to see you around the forums! I'm sorry to hear that you're also having issues with your Charge 5's battery.

I've seen you contacted our Support Team after posting here and they've already assisted you. If the steps that our team has provided did not work, please feel free to contact them back for further assistance. Since you already have a ticket open with them it'd be easier to continue the follow up on this matter with them directly.

Same with my Charge 5. Tried all suggested fixes to no avail. Time between charges becoming ever shorter. When put on charger the device immediately reboots and displays a current high level of charge. Could it actually be a firmware problem turning the device off rather than a battery problem. I’m very reluctant to buy another Fitbit unless the source of this problem is identified and fixed

Well, I did buy a Charge 6. Same problem. Holds charge somewhat longer — 30 something hours. Plan to return it.
