Charge 5 battery draining too quickly for several days and then it cannot be charged at all since yesterday.  Tried the cord reset but unsuccessful
When connected to the USB, the screen is dead too and at times the Fitbit logo may appear but will disappear or flicker within seconds 
Is there any way to save my Charge 5?  Have been using it for around 1.5 years and the software version is 188.58

Sad to hear that your Charge 5 isn't working as expected. As there are quite a few points to consider if your device isn't charging properly, I'd suggest having a closer look here to see what might apply to you:

Charge 5 was able to charge to 99% again last night.  But as I wore it to bed, in mid-night I felt my wrist burning and Charge 5 was very hot and ran out of battery again.  Pretty sure there was some battery leakage problem... and not it's not charging again
