The battery is draining within 8 hours after a full charge.
Was given this Fitbit as a mother's day gift (so less than 8 months ago).
What is the solution?

Hello @NatLap2023
When my Charge 5 started rapidly losing power, I restarted and recharged my device multiple times over several days. Eventually, this got my Charge 5 "unstuck" and the battery went back to lasting 6-7 days. There's no guarantee that this will work for you, but it might be worth a try. You can restart your Charge 5 either from the Settings tile on the device or by using the charging cable that came with your Fitbit. If you would like instructions, click on this link: How to Restart Charge 5
The other recommended troubleshooting steps are available from this help page: Can I extend my Fitbit's battery life?
If none of the troubleshooting steps work for you, you should probably contact Fitbit support (<-- click link) to see what are your options under warranty.

Don't hold your breath. Mine has remained bricked for 5 months because of a firmware update. I have continued repeatedly to try to bring it back to no avail. Same as thousands of others. Since Fitbit won't even acknowledge the firmware update is what screwed things up, much less either fix it or replace ALL who had their trackers bricked, I moved onto an Amazfit Band 7. I continue to be here mainly to see if Fitbit ever comes to their senses and chooses to do the right thing.

That's really disappointing to hear. I feel bad for my husband who spent money to buy me this gift, for my kids who were so excited to give it to me, and for the impact on the environment in the production of something that will likely end up in the trash. Very frustrating.
