Charge 5 black screen after a swim

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I jumped in a river today and my Fitbit screen went black. When I got home I made sure it was dry and placed it on my charger. The Fitbit is now fully charged and syncing with my phone but I still can’t get the screen nor the lights on the back to turn on. When I first placed it in the charger it vibrated for several short bursts but is now not doing anything. I’ve already tried to reset it, which I have done in the past successfully. Help?

Hi, @Nataroo welcome to the community, allowing you have restarted your Charge 5 try changing the Clock face via the Fitbit app on your phone. If you are not able to make any progress your next step will be to contact Customer Support. Fitbit's return and warranty policy spells out their obligations. Two years is the maximum regardless of where you bought it & in many places one year. Factors that affect it are where you are, when you bought it and who you bought it from. Note accidental damage is excluded. Reach out to Customer Support via the help screens in your Fitbit app. Touch your icon in the top right corner of the "Today" screen>help>help center>swipe up to the bottom >contact us. Make a note of when you bought it, where you are & who sold it to you before calling so you can brief the agent clearly.

I hope this helps.

Cheers
