Charge 5 black screen and battery die

Hi there,

I went for a swim today (chlorinated pool). My Charge 5 had a battery level of 17% when I got into the pool. My watch stopped working while I was in the water and I presumed the battery had died. I took it off and dried it and when I came home I tried to charge it but it won't turn on.

I have tried to restart it numerous times, following the instructions I found here. Sometimes, when I press the flat black button on my charging lead x3 the watch makes a vibrating sound for a few seconds but the screen does not light up at all.

I have removed it from my FitBit app and turned Bluetooth off on my phone. I've then turned Bluetooth back on and tried to locate the device via the app to no avail.

I bought the device in January of this year.

Has anyone any other ideas I can try?

TIA,

Mary

Hello @Mary321

So sorry to see that you're having problems with your Charge 5.

The other recommended troubleshooting step for this type of issue requires your device to be connected to your Fitbit app.

Since you've already tried to restart your device multiple times without success, you should contact Fitbit support (<-- click link) to see what are your options under warranty.
