Charge 5 black screen and not responding to reset

Charge 5 is 14 months old. Black screen, won’t reset. Customer service has attempted to help no luck. Offered me a 35% discount on a new one! What a joke for a new device. Made to break when warranty expires, great way to sell more product!! Not cool Fitbit!

Is your Charge 5 able to charge properly? Is it possible to charge other devices using the same power outlet?

I am having the same problem!

I'm having the same problem as Stephen. The first time there was a black screen, I thought it died. I charged it and it had the charging screen. Took it off the charger, and it went back to a black screen. Put it back on the charger and it has the Fitbit logo screen.

Yes I have tried everything suggested as well as research on my own nothing is working Now not discoverable by Bluetooth on phone or iPad

Last two charge 5 had this happen.  Charge 5 is not durable at all.  Been using Fitbit for 7 years but I think it is time to find something that last more than 12 mknths

Same here and it is the second one! Not spending one more dollar on this brand! Have seen so mane threads about people getting their device not working after the 14th month. Poor quality! Bad service! Going to Garmin

I have a Charge 5 and have just had the same problem start.  Mine is 20+ months old.  I have tried all of the reset options - no luck.  it charges up but can't hold the charge for longer than an hour. Screen black or nearly black always.

I activated my Charge 5 Aug 31, 2022. Problems began Sept 4, 2023. Battery drained overnight. Screen wouldn't turn on. Didn't charge. Didn't reset. Screen is glitching even while charging. Didn't change any settings that would've triggered these issues (that many other people also seem to be having hmm). Very unimpressed.

Fitbit will do nothing to resolve this issue, believe me I have tried!!

I have been using my I-phone with fitbit ap along with my fitbit to address this problem.  No solutions yet.

Never did get a solution :(.  It clearly needs a new battery but that isn't an option.

 

My charge 5 is paired with my I-phone.  so I am using the App.  Still not helpful in getting a solution 😞 .

My charge 5 just started going to the black screen is still recording my heart rate it started out the screen just started flickering getting brighter then it went to Black

Similar problem. Fitbit 5 stopped working; maybe battery depleted. I recharged it to 100% but only running for a little less than 2 hours when I tap the face, nothing comes up. Have tried leaving it charging overnight but same result.
