I've had my fitbit for 16 months. Thus, it's been out of its 12-month warranty since early May. It worked perfectly until early July.
My fitbit charge 5 has a black screen. Device is running firmware 188.58. Charger and wall plug are known good. The app (3.86 on an iPhone SE 2020 running iOS 16.5.1(c)) can't find the device. I used an alcohol wipe to clean the contact points on the device and on the cable.
Doing the three pulses cable reset does nothing but change the amperage. (0.00A to 0.07A, which is minuscule but still something.) The fitbit pebble itself gets hot to the touch while on the charger, so the electricity must be doing something.
Has anyone else had this issue? What could be causing the device to not charge?
