Charge 5 black screen with red circle and white cross

My Fitbit was 98% charged and working well. I went for a nap and felt it vibrate. When I looked at screen it was said logo of white cross. I've tried to reboot with charging cable button, I've removed it from Bluetooth on my phone, restarted phone. Tried to reconnect it via Bluetooth but now it is not connecting as its not recognised.

Thanks.  Only 4 months old.

Welcome to the Community forums, @Frankie333

Thank you for sharing that you've having this inconvenience with your Charge 5 device and that you already tried a few troubleshooting steps.

If you haven't done so already, please try the following steps that have been useful for other users:

  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn Bluetooth off and on.
  • Open the Fitbit app and sync again

If you're still having any issues, let me know if you already tried all the steps listed here to resolve syncing problems. Regarding the display that is not working, if you already tried to complete the 3 pulse restart procedure using the charging cable, please try these additional steps that have been useful for other users:

  1. Please follow these steps in case you're having trouble to charge your device.
  2. Sync your device in the Fitbit app by tapping your profile picture > Charge 5 > Sync Now.
  3. If you  can't sync, tap on your profile picture > Charge 5 > Tile to see if a firmware banner appears.
  4. If it's still unresponsive, please try changing the clock face as well and check if you're able to see anything on the display.

Thankyou for your suggestions. After following the steps, it seems to have
resolved itself. It has synced and has returned to normal functioning. I'll
just monitor it in next few days. Cheers.
