Charge 5 black screen

Charge 5 full charge black screen. Still connecting and keeping app updated with data. Tryed the pulse reset and nothing ( at least 15 times). It still works fine just no display. Tried to change watch face. I get the vib like it did it but no display. I had it almost a year now. First issue with it so far.

I appreciate all the information that you've provided about this inconvenience with your Charge 5 and that you already tried a few troubleshooting steps. 

 

In case there's any problem related to the battery not charging properly, please make sure that you've followed the steps provided in this article: Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging? 

 

In addition, there are some general recommendations that are usually helpful with any type of display issues. If you haven't done so already, please try these additional combination of steps that have been useful for other users:  

 

  1. Complete the 3 pulse restart procedure method again using the charging cable.
  2. Please sync your device in the Fitbit app. 
  3. If you  can't sync:
    • Remove the device in the Fitbit app.
    • Uninstall and reinstall the Fitbit app.
    • Set up the device again.
  4. If it's still unresponsive, please try changing the clock face as well and check if you're able to see anything on the display.

It charges just fine. Works as normal. Just a black screen all the time. I have noticed that 2 time I just happen to look at it and the screen turns a blueish green for a split second and goes back to black. I'm gonna run the battery dead than full charge. If that still don't fix it I'll look into getting something new. I'm leaning towards a pixel watch.
