So my charge 5 suddenly stopped responding and has a black screen. Attempted to reset. Contacted fitbit and they offered 35% off a device but NOT on the charge 6 and charge 5 is no longer available either. I use this device to help me manage a medical condition and I'm visually impaired. Fitbit responded that they can't do anything as its outside of warranty and they won't help out. An expensive device that barely lasts two years. And I'm being told to shell out money for another device after the one I had didn't last.. Disappointed in how this matter was handled and disappointed in the product. Fitbit cares more about profit than customers.

This has happened to me too. Did you ever get anywhere with it ? My fitbit is 9 months old

At 9 months old, it should be under warranty. You might have luck with contacting customer service again (unlike people whose watches are 12 months old).
Don't forget to cancel your Premium subscription if you have one. Fitbit doesn't issue refunds, even if your device is broken due to their update.
