Charge 5 blank screen and only showing the Fitbit logo

Hello Fitbit Community,

I’m facing an issue with my Fitbit Charge 5. Recently, it stopped working properly and now the screen is completely black. Here’s what happens:

  • When I connect the device to the charger, the Fitbit logo appears for a moment but then the screen goes blank again.
  • Occasionally, I see a red cross (X) on the screen.
  • I followed the recommended troubleshooting steps: "Connect the device to the charging cable, press the button on the flat end of the charger 3 times, pausing for 1 second between presses, and then wait 10 seconds for the logo to appear." However, after doing this, the logo appears briefly with a vibration, but then the screen turns off again.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue, or does anyone have any additional suggestions for fixing it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

@Sreehari_07 From what I can see here on the forum and across the web, most owners of a Charge 5 have or have had this problem. Once this happens, I think the device is rendered inoperable.
