Charge 5 blank screen

Hello, my charge 5 has a black screen and will not display anything. I have tried resetting by pressing the button 3 times, it is fully charged, it is still recording activity onto my app but the display just will not work. I did use some water to clean dust from the device so maybe the water lock mode is enabled but I cannot disable it from neither the app or the device.

Can anyone help please?

My first Charge 5 screen went dark just before the one year warranty expired and the replacement has now broken down with a dark screen exactly one year later.   Fitbit’s answer is for me to buy a new Charge 5 with a 35% discount  ( the discount doesn’t apply to the current sale price and the devices are on back order). I still have half a year on my Premium subscription but am not  sure I want to blow $100 on a product that barely lasts a year.  I probably will bite the bullet though and then switch next year when Apple releases its Apple Watch X,  which reportedly will be adding new health tracking features like blood pressure monitoring. I have really liked the Fitbit platform (previously a  Jawbone Up fan for those of you who remember it!), but the push to convert to Google turns me off, and the short lifespan of the Charge 5 is looking to make the product more expensive in the long term than some of its pricier but better built competitors that last longer. This is especially taking into account the annual Premium subscription fee Fitbit requires for us to see all the sleep data and  analytics  tracked on the  Charge 5.

Agree. I swim regularly and am amazed that the Amazfit Band 7 records my lap and determines my swimming style. While in Charge 5, I can only get the time. I also think that the Zepp app is better than that of Fitbit.
