Charge 5 blank screen

My Charge 5 suddenly lost all battery, didn't charge any more.

After trying the reset process for couple of days, now it is fully charged, vibrates once I try the reboot process, I can get it connected to my phone, but the screen is still black.

Hello @VictorGomes

I'm not sure that this will work, but it might be worth a try. A user having issues with their Charge 5 turning on tried exposing the device to freezer temps. After they allowed their Charge 5 to warm back up to room temp, their device was back to working again. Here's the user's post (<-- click link) where they described what they did. This worked for some users, but not all.

The other option would be to contact Support (<-- click link). Complete the prompts until you get the option to chat or call. Depending on how long you've had your Charge 5, they'll let you know what are your options.

Hi @RiekoC (5K Racer),

Thanks fir your suggestion. Actually I did it yesterday and the screen gave
some sign of life. However, now it is trying to reboot all time, and the
battery goes in couple of hours.

I can see the fitbit logo, then the clock for couple of seconds and back
screen again.

Was a good tip. At least now I can see something in the screen.

Hi there, @VictorGomes. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 5 is still unresponsive. We're here to help you! @RiekoC Thank you so much for your input!

Since the steps recommended haven't worked and your Fitbit device is stuck on the Fitbit logo, please
connect your Charge 5 to the charger and try the following steps in the order listed (while it's connected to the charging cable):

  • Unpair your Charge 5 from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Charge 5.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Charge 5.
  • Once your Charge 5 is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Charge 5 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.

Mine did the same thing. Charge it, acts normal for 10 seconds then flips to Blue Logo and then black. Customer Service is not helpful. they refuse to help me until I create a google account... escalated and they said look for an email. Been days and nothing. This may be my last Fitbit and I'd just bought 3 new ACTUAL Fitbit bands... so disappointing
