My brand new Charge 5 doesn’t hold a charge. I have all notifications turned off, and only sync it a few times each day. I take off the watch at night, and when I get up in the morning the screen is still on. Thinking of returning if it can’t hold a charge for 2 days, or turn off while not even using features. My charge4 could hold a charge for 4-5 days with constant syncing and notifications .

Update - after letting it go to zero & running a RESET, twice - this seems to have worked! I still have all features off, but the battery run-down is much more in line with what I would expect 10-15% per day so far. Thanks

I have just experienced this same problem I received my charge 5 as a Christmas gift this year and loved it! I noticed yesterday it was depleted and charged it. It was at 100% this morning and within 3 hours it was dead! This happened repeatedly throughout the day. I checked all the troubleshooting tips including the ones mentioned in this threat! So discouraged. My husband and I were going on a three day kayaking trip and I can’t record any stats now. And to top it off, no proof of purchase. 7 months as a viable product is very disappointing!
------------
How long had you had it? And did you have the receipt? Mine was a gift so no receipt and I’ve had it for 7 months. It was perfect 2 days ago and now it drains between 2-3 hours. I don’t have any bells or whistles running on it. Just the basics. So disappointed.

I returned my first Charge 5 when it stopped holding its charge after about 5 months... my second one is going the same way and I've only had it 3 months....I think there is an underlying problem....

I did this and all of the other suggestions and only minor improvement (now drains in 2-3 days instead of one). What should I do? Return it for a refund?

Hi,
I have the same issue. I charged my fitbit charge 5 until 95% and when I unplugged from the charger the battery drained instantly to 1%. This just happened this week after I used it for 6+months. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
