I have noticed before that my charge 5 seems to measure calories differently when I select an activity so I tested it on 2 consecutive days. The first day I walked just over 10 miles (according to the fitbit), did nearly 20000 steps and as part of the walk climbed appx 1300 ft. According to the fitbit I used for the day a total of 2241 calories. The next day I did a slightly easier walk, same sort of distance and steps but less climbing and used nearly 3500 calories. The first day I set the fitbit to record a ‘walk’ the second day I didn’t, I just let it decide how to measure my activity for the day. I am curious to know why there is such a difference. There were no other potentially significant variables between the 2 days.
