Hi, I want to buy Charge 5 so I can monitor my sleep patterns regularly.
But.. I've had terrible experiences with Charge 3/SE(tried 3) and Versa 2/SE(tried 2), because they would not record the sleep pattern at all. All other functions on the watch worked fine except for sleep tracking.
Ended up trying like 5 different watches and all had identical issue: wasted heaps of time and had to return it to the store.
So should try Charge 5? (I'm hoping Fitbit has fixed or improved the simple sleep tracking sensor on Charge 5)
Q. Anyone had sleep track issues with previous Fitbit watches(i.e. Charge 3 or Versa 2), but don't have any problem with Charge 5's sleep track?
p.s. I used to really like Fitbit watches before I ran into sleep track issues on Charge 3 & Versa 2, because older Fitbit models I owned(Charge 2, Alta HR, etc) didn't have any problem tracking sleep all the time.

I have Fitbit charge 2 and 5. During my usage of charge 2 once in a while it won't be able to track my sleep pattern and just shows restless and awake. I read that it is because they can't read my heart rate. Probably because I wear it loosely.
While I didn't have issue with charge5 sleep pattern, I'm a new user for it. I don't have enough usage to experience issues. I lurk around the forum and see some people have sleep tracking issues though.

Four days ago my charge 5 tracker just stopped tracking everything except my steps. Well a $20 tracker can do that!!!! Set up a chat. After too much time wasted on hold they had me do what I had already don’t: forget and remove the charge 5, restart, reboot….. and then there was dfs. No one there. I’ve read help articles - no one has help, just more frustration. I don’t have time for this. I need real answers or a new device.
what can I do???
