My brand new charge 5 has done this same thing. It is like the magnets polarity has reversed somehow either in the fitbit or the charger. They repel each other now. What was the remedy for yours after calling customer support?

I called. A new charger is being shipped. I have a feeling that it is an issue in the watch, not the charger, but we shall see.
