Is there any way to lock the heart rate option on the standard clock faces or design my own clock face?
I realise there are several which cycle thru the stats, including HR, but since I use my fitbit for health reasons I'd like HR to be there at a glance. I also note that if you *select* HR, it's gone the next time you look. I often want to know my pulse when exercising, and complex options aren't easy.
I also realise there are a couple of clock faces which always have HR somewhere on them, but these are busy screens, with lots of unwanted data.
Best AnswerThere is no way to design your own clock face. What you see is what you get. I don’t think there is any way to lock the heart rate either but I could be wrong on that. As you said, you’ll have to choose a clock face that always has the heart rate displayed (e.g. Slashed) or resort to tapping to switch to your heart rate.
Yep, I'm using Slashed at the moment, but the text is small and there's lots of stuff there I *don't* need.
Thanks for the reply but.

If you track your exercise, you can see your heart rate on the screen. Is that not what you need?
Also, and I'm not sure if it's this way for all the faces, but so far the two I have tried seem to stay on whatever stat I left it on when tapping to cycle through them.
I have had my Charge 5 for only a couple of days. I set my older Charge 4 up for my wife and in the process realized that I really do prefer the Charge 4 clock face with just time and heart rate. Perhaps Fitbit could offer a Charge 4 Legacy clock face at some time in the future. All of the faces for the Charge 5 are a bit too artsy rather than functional. I do like the brighter display (readable on the tennis court now).
Slashed does not show the HR for me when "always on display" is on. It shows the other 2 stats instead.
The description in the app says it will show date, time, and HR. But, it doesn't.
Best AnswerYep, the HR disappears when you go to always_on. I'm now trying one of the others with HR as the selectable stat. Seems to be working so far.
I've also found that if I'm in an Exercise (walk or workout for me), I can display the HR in relatively large text on one of the 'pages'. I guess this is what Mikey was talking about.
