This morning my Charge 5 arrived. It has already been slightly disappointing so far, with several features apparently not being available in Europe. But now, after a day of use it has completely died.
After testing the Charge 5 with a first trip to the gym, I took it off to go shower and cook.
When I put it back on 1 hour later, I noticed the screen wasn't turning on. I also noticed the app couldn't sync, even though the battery was at 60% when I took it off.
So I head to the charging and stick it on. Initially, it vibrated. But the screen still didn't turn on and I still couldn't sync.
Now apparently, you can force a restart by pressing the button on the charger 3 times. I connected the Charge 5 to the charger again. Surprisingly, no vibration this time. And I tried restarting it with the button multiple times. Without success. Apparently, the fitbit is meant to give a vibration when you press the button, but it doesn't it is completely dead.
Upon further inspection, I noticed there was moisture on the inside. Could this be the cause?
If so, how do I fix it and more importantly, how do I prevent it in the future? I sweat quiet a lot during workout and the fact that the Charge 5, as a fitness tracker is unable to handle sweat is very concerning.

Hello @LittleJur
This certainly should not have happened with a good sweaty workout out the gym. Since your Fitbit Charge 3 is only less then a day old I’d discuss your concerns (even warranty concerns) with them: https://myhelp.fitbit.com/s/support?language=en_US. I could advise to place your Fitbit in a bag of dry rice to help soak up the moisture but I hesitate because I don’t want you to void your warranty if I advise something that effects that.
😉I truly hope they can get things sorted out for you quickly
