Charge 5, just had it for one year has just stopped. Unresponsive and have tried all the recommended fixes apart from the letting the battery run down one - as I am waiting on the battery running down.
I have just transferred to Google from Fitbit, and also have not installed the latest software update.
I did get it wet yesterday, accidently wore in bath, however have been swimming with it and showering with it on.
First real issue with any of my fitbits (apart from my Aria 1 stopping too...), and I have been wearing a fitbit since early 2014 - so very keen to find a solution if possible
All recommendations appreciated.
Travel safe. 🙏

Hi, @EastLothianLife It is nice to see you here, welcome to the community!
Thanks for letting me know about this situation in regards to the Charge 5 unresponsive after use it to swim.
Can you tell me if you see condensation in the Charge 5? If so, send me a picture on how it shows. Also, I recommend you to do the following:
- In the Fitbit app, touch your profile picture, touch your Fitbit device and click 'Sync Now'. This will help you synchronize it
- Restart your device by following the steps here.
- After this, change the clock face of your Charge 5. In the Fitbit app, you can access the image of your profile and the image of your Fitbit device, touch the gallery and the screen and click on the clock face, preferably one of Fitbit and install.
Let me know how it goes once you've done this.

Hi @CrisVillaFitbit - my thanks for your message - very much appreciated.
So far, with the Charge 5, I had it on as I got into the bath and took it off shortly afterwards. There has been no condensation on the screen.
It just seems to have suddenly stopped working with no indication there was any issue. If I remember correctly the Charge 5 was Christmas present for Christmas 2022, so just more than a year old. I transferred my account to Google less than 24h previous to the Charge 5 stopping.
All assistance greatly appreciated - not really in a space to buy a new fitbit to be honest and I am (after ten years a fitbit user) coming up for 51,000,000 steps this year so very keen to get tracking again!
My thanks again @CrisVillaFitbit 🙏
