Charge 5 constantly asking to add a card and Shorter battery life

With in the past couple of weeks my Charge 5 has been asking me to add a card to fitbit pay. This has woken me up while sleeping many times and has seem to cause my battey to go from lasting a week+ to less then a day.

Tried the reset multiple times both on device and with the button on the power cord. tried to find a way to disable the fitbit pay in the app but had no luck.

I had the same issue and contacted customer support.  The response I received was "we are monitoring the situation and will see how it effects our customers."  So, in other words, they aren't doing anything to fix the problem.  When I asked for a replacement, I was told "our team is aware of the issue so we can not do a replacement this time."

So, we are all stuck with an expensive piece of junk on our wrists.
