Charge 5 - dead after only a few months

Four days ago I had no readout at all on the watch but intermittent communication with my iPhone.  Two days ago I have nothing - it’s dead.  The battery was at 100% the night before I got nothing.  I’ve put it onto charge and followed how to restart it but nothing - it’s had an upsettingly short life.  A friend had the same problem a few months ago.  Has anyone else experienced this?

My Charge 5 is 6 months old.  A few days ago I found I was having to charge it daily.  Now twice it has not even lasted overnight - I wake up not being able to see the time, let alone have any sleep analysis.  Yesterday I charged it early evening and it was dead by the time I went to bed at midnight!  Ridiculously short time for the device to last.  What's more this was the replacement for the last one that only lasted 8 months!

A lot of owners have the battery drain issue which has not yet been resolved, caused by latest firmware update 188.58. You can go and check the other forum discussion topic to read up - "Charge 5 Firmware Update 1.188.58." Good luck, hope your issues get resolved...

I contacted FITBIT direct on the phone.  They were able to assess it remotely and see that the battery was draining in around an hour and that this was not correct.  They sent me an email immediately with a form to complete to enable a replacement under warranty.  It is now ordered.  I can't fault their customer service.

After about 3 months I had problems with my first Charge 5. I handed it to my dealer. After 5 weeks I was told that it couldn't be fixt, so I got a new one under warrenty. Went away a weekend and something strange happened with it when I was charging. Interrupted the charging and then I got the idea thet maybe it was the carging cable it was something wrong with. I still had de old cabel and it must have been the ona I brought with me on the trip because when I got home and tried the other cable the charging worked as it should and I haven't had any problems with the new Charge 5 since then.
