Charge 5 died a little bit over a year

It was purchased at Costco and set up immediately after purchase. Per customer support, the first time that it was connected to the App was 8/22/2022. Around Oct 2023, it started to drain the battery really fast: from 5 days to less than a day. Within a few days, it stopped responding to charge and died with a black screen.
According to support, there is nothing that they could do as the 1-year warranty was expired.
Just around 2 months after, my sense, which purchased in Nov 2021 also died with the similar symptoms.

Does anyone know whether it's battery problem? Is it common? I am kinda disappointed as a loyal customer. We have bought 4 fitbit devices already: 2 luxe, charge, a charge5 and a sense.

Hi, @Nn_t, welcome, you will see from other posts here  Charge 5 all of a sudden has regularly failed - Fitbit Community there are similar reports. The update problem should not be confused with battery degradation. It's a sad fact that wearable device batteries degrade due to multiple charge & discharge cycles but this is not a sudden process.

I hope this helps.

Cheers
