Charge 5 died, what are the best replacement options?

My Charge 5 will no longer charge or turn on. I cleaned it and went through the dance with tech support with no change. They're saying I'm out of warranty and offered a discount that I won't be using because I'm not buying another Fitbit.

What are my best options for a replacement fitness tracker? I'm primarily interested in step counts and sleep monitoring.

Yep.  I WAS a loyal fitbit user for about 3 years ...My Charge 5 died this morning after swimming (for the first time with the Charge 5)  yesterday.  Supposed to be fine for water, and swimming (pool).  Well, it tracked my swim ... then about an hour later showed the logo. Did a hard reset and charged it to 100%.  Lasted about 6 hours.  Totally dead this AM.  NOT staying with Fitbit. Steps, Sleep, and Swimming important to me.  Just ordered an SKG 7 for about a third of the price.  We shall see.  Good luck.

Hi, welcome to the community forums, @dajana1.

I'm sorry to see that you've experienced this problem with the Charge 5.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and experience with this, comments from users are always useful to continue to improving the quality of products and services.

It is particularly difficult when the device is no longer covered by the warranty, but even tough Support is eager to help with any problem you may experience with the product, they do need to adhere to the official warranty policy, this would start counting from the original date of purchase.

@KateDK I've been informed that you already contacted the Customer Support team for further assistance with this. In this case, they will let you know how to proceed.

This happened to me too, all after the latest firmware update. I've been scanning the forums for hours and it seems that it's been happening to most users who updated their devices.
