I got my charge 5 only 8 months ago. 2 days ago it started messing up. It was fully charged yesterday before my workout and during my hour workout it hardly was able to detect my heart rate. It died immediately after the workout. I went home and charged it fully and put it back on before I went to sleep. By the morning when I woke up it was dead again and would not turn on. My app even says it has no battery.

Mine died suddenly. I bought my charge 5 in April and it died about a month ago (July). I called CS and they couldn’t fix it, so they sent me another Fitbit. The new one died again today. 

What’s the issue with charge 5? In addition, I had to manually Syn it many times (didn’t sync automatically nor detected many exercises).

 

 I had HR for 4 years with no issues. I just wanted a larger screen.

I just had the exact same issue. One day out if the blue it stopped syncing and I had to reset. It had now been a week later and it suddenly stopped staying charged as of last night. I charged it and by the time I woke up again it was already dead.
