Charge 5 does not track properly

Have had my Charge 5 for less than a week and have decided to return it.  On a positive note, love the display being in color.  On the negative side it does not track my mileage or my per mile pace accurately.  Have a 4.5 mile walk that this is measuring at 6.01 as well as a 5.01 mile one that it had at 6.01.  As well moving from the 4 to the 5, the tracker shows am walking about 3 minutes faster per mile.  Did the math today after my walk of stride x number of steps and confirmed the charge 5 was off by over a mile.

So back to my charge 4 and wished had checked this community prior to purchasing the 5.

Where you using GPS? The connected phones or built in. I find the GLONAS works best for me. 

Otherwise it is stride times steps. Is the stride set for auto?

Hi Rich - was using the built in gps and yes the stride is set to auto.
