Charge 5 doesn't stay connected to Bluetooth

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Charge 5 frequently disconnects from Bluetooth. I've restarted by pressing the button on the charging cable three times but it continues to occur.  I have to manually sync.  I'm guessing it should be better then this.  I just upgraded from the Charge 3 and never had any trouble.

Hi, I appreciate all the details that you've shared about the problem you're experiencing with your Charge 5 and the troubleshooting steps you already tried, @Mardi50

There are some general recommendations and troubleshooting steps listed here that other users experiencing something similar have found useful. If you haven't done so already, please make sure to check the compatibility requirements listed here and to keep the Fitbit app and the firmware updated to the latest version available.

However, keep in mind that for the specific problem related to the Bluetooth getting disconnected constantly on iOS, the team of developers is already aware of this and they continue to work to find a solution as soon as possible, but we haven't received other updates for the moment.

If you're still experiencing the same problems to sync after all the recommendations, please continue the communication with the Customer Support team for further instructions and let them know of the steps that you already tried. Click here to get connected.

See you around.

Hi @Mardi50 ,

FWIW - I had the exact same issue. If you search the community you'll find quite a few people that. Some of the posts imply, or outright state, FitBit is aware of this issue, but have failed to address it. I went though 2 Charge 5's over the holidays thinking I just got a lemon. After the second one, I switched back to my Charge 4.

So, you'll either have to live with annoyance and hope that FitBit eventually decides this is actually an important issue, or return it. 🤷‍
