Charge 5 doesn't work!

Can someone PLEASE explain why Fitbit would sell anyone a Charge 5 that won't connect with the app? I've spent HOURS trying to connect it, then finally called their Support phone number.  After talking with a very patient Support person for 1 1/2 hours, he, too, had to give up.  He told me that the Charge5 needs a software upgrade or fix that hasn't come out yet!   

Really?  Then why would Fitbit sell the Charge5 until it can be used?

I recently bought a brand new Charge 5 from Amazon, to replace my Chrge 3, which I have also had issues with. Within 48 hours the Charge 5 stopped responding / charging. I contacted Amazon, who put me through to Fitbit. Fitbit agreed to look at my unit so I returned the item to them, yesterday I received my return from them, it clearly states on the invoice that it is a refurb, they have also sent replacemnet straps in black but the one that I bought from Amazon had gray straps. Soooo angry. I hope that you have luck with yours. I have contacted Amazon to return mine & look at something different.

Thanks for that information! I am still waiting to hear from the Fitbit support team, but
if I don’t hear by Monday, I’m calling to tell them I want them to send me a paid return
postage box and sending the whole things back. What a waste of time! Joanne

Phone number is on the bottom of the Fitbit website under “Support.” I don’t have it
and would have to look it up for you.
