I have the GPS on and pool set to 50m and it’s saying I’m doing twice as many laps/doubling the total distance. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Hi, welcome to the Community forums, @SunsetRunner.
Thank you for the information provided about what you've been experiencing with your Charge 5.
There are a few reasons that can cause inconsistencies with your swim data:
In addition to the reasons mentioned earlier, and if you already checked the pool length is accurate in the Fitbit app, please try to complete a restart procedure and check if you continue to experience the same behavior.
Hope this helps, I'll be around.

Hi David,
No I don’t stop midway through laps, I don’t change the type of stroke I’m using, I don’t use kickboards and I don’t wait a minute or more between laps. I’ve already done the restart a few times (but yes I’ll do that again today), I have been turning on the swim exercise app on the watch not the auto swim recognition and tried all the gps options.
I do at least 20 laps of a 50 meter pool (and it’s set on the watch for 50 meters) and I get results like 38 laps done. It’s not even close. The pool I use is outdoors so no impediments there either.
what can fix this?

Hello @SunsetRunner
I'm just wondering if it might work better with the GPS turned off completely. That might be confusing the situation as it's usually used for tracking runs and more varied routes rather than the same 50 meter area.
I don't swim or anything but was just wondering if it would help to change that setting. If it doesn't, sorry for interrupting.

Hi David,
I tried the restart again, still doubled my laps.
do you have any other suggestions?

And again @DavideFitbit , still not counting laps correctly.
any ideas on how to get this accurate? It’s a feature I got this for.
