Charge 5 drains immediately after taking off charger

Recently, my Charge 5 stopped working. I put it on the charger and waited until it got to 100%. When it did, I took it off the charger and it immediately died. Weird. So I put it back on the charger and it restarted and showed 1% for the battery. I did this a few times before going online and following every tip I could on the forum. Pressing the charger button 3 times did nothing. All the other tips did nothing. I have had it for one year. I contacted Fitbit and they said I am not under warranty. It is one year old and it is dead. Then upon further research, I discovered that thousands of Fitbit Charge 5 users have the exact same problem. Clearly, this is a defect and Fitbit is making all its customers pay for it, instead of fixing it. I will never purchase a Fitbit again. They do not care about their customers.

The same thing happened to me as well. I did the same as you and when I contacted them they told me I didn't have a warranty either. Looks like FItbit knows there product is defective and they could care less about doing the right thing for their customers

Same thing is happening with mine as well. Finding it strange to see quite a few with the same issues all within the past few days. This all started with mine within the past week
