Charge 5 failure after charging time, date is wrong and it won’t sync at all

My charge 5 drained in battery after a normal day. After an overnight charge the time is totally wrong and the date is yesterday’s date and it won’t sync.
I thot this would be a quality piece!

Hi, @Willhope , once your Fitbit syncs the time and date will update.  First I would suggest giving your Charge 5 a restart.  Instructions are here .  A restart will shut down any background activities that could have been causing unusual battery drain - and it may prompt the sync without your doing anything else.

If the restart does not prompt the sync, I find the easiest way to force a sync is to log out of the Fitbit app and log back in again - but do be sure you know the email address associated with your Fitbit account so you can log back in!

If that does not force the sync I would recommend looking at this help article for troubleshooting a Fitbit that won’t sync.  Please work through the recommended steps, except that I would not recommend removing from your account a Fitbit that won’t sync, as that can cause even more issues.

Good luck and please let us know how it goes.  Welcome to the forums!
