My charge 5 screen has gone dark, it's not syncing consistently and the battery is draining quickly since the new firmware was made available to me yesterday (August 13, 2023) It is still recording my steps heart rate etc. I called support and they couldn't help me. I got an email saying I could get 35% off a new device. It seems like too much of a coincidence that my Fitbit would stop working properly the same day as the firmware update. Please help

I had the same experience and got the same response from Fitbit. My device’s warranty was expired by a couple weeks so I’m pretty pissed about this since it’s starting to look like it’s a widespread issue. I’m gonna have to think twice about what my next watch is gonna be.

Same situation here. Reading the other messages, agree that it seems like more than a coincidence and I'm surprised that Fitbit hasn't taken a more proactive role to address the situation. I'm not willing to invest in another device, even with 35% discount, if it needs to be replaced yearly.
