Charge 5 flashing logo after a swim

I've tried all the cleaning tips,  and restart tips but the charge 5 is just flashing the Fitbit logo. 

Any other suggestions?

Update: Left it in rice for a few hours and it's now showing the clock but not updating to the correct time.   Re-connected to the app, restarted the watch, disabled/re-enabled Bluetooth but not syncing
