Charge 5 frozen, no display no sync

I'm encountering a problem where the Charge 5 becomes unresponsive and will not sync with the app unless it is placed on the charger. After which it will restart and work until the screen turns off and it again becomes unresponsive.

I've only had the Charge 5 since April so I'm rather disappointed it seems to be dying.

 

No luck trying to trouble shoot, I have tried:

  • Resetting on the Charge 5
  • Resetting using the charger
  • Changing the clockface
  • Removing extra apps
