Charge 5 frozen on the timer display.

Hi. My Charge 5 is frozen on the timer display. do I need to reset watch/ how?

I appreciate the information that you've shared about the problem you're experiencing with your Charge 5. 

Before considering other options, please try to complete a three pulse restart procedure following the steps listed here below: 

  1. Connect your device to the charging cable. For instructions, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  2. Press the button located on the flat end of the charger 3 times (USB connector), pausing for 1 second between presses. Then wait 10 seconds or until the Fitbit logo appears.

Let me know if your device continues to be stuck on the timer after this procedure.

Mine is also getting stuck and the stopwatch app is gone.  Have rest it multiple times and now it gets stuck on various apps.

@Lburdick162 Thank you for sharing that you've been experiencing the same inconvenience with your Charge 5 and that you already tried the restart procedure suggested earlier.

Hello, it would be great if you told us how support was going to help @Lburdick162 resolve the problem.

 

I let my stop watch run past 24 hours and now only have the countdown timer to select on that screen. no more stopwatch. 

how does one fix this issue. 

I was mostly enjoying this Fitbit until this happened.

Thank you for sharing all this information and for confirming that you're having the same inconvenience with your Charge 5. 

There are some general recommendations that are usually helpful with any type of issues. If you haven't done so already, please try these additional steps that have been useful for other users:  

  1. Complete the 3 pulse restart procedure method using the charging cable.
  2. Try changing the clock face option as well and check if you continue to have the same problem. 
  3. Set up the Charge 5 as a new device in your account. 

In addition, please keep in mind that a new firmware version has bene released to address this problem, you should receive it soon as well. You can find more information here on how to update your device.
