Charge 5 has a screen that says, "Notifications, nothing new. Can't get rid of this screen. .

My Charge 5 has a message on the screen saying, Notifications and below that, Nothing new.  I can't change it.

Hi, welcome to the Community forums, @Greenstone

Thanks for sharing the details of the issue you're been experiencing with your Charge 5. 

Let me know if you're able to swipe on the screen or if it's completely stuck; you can usually exit this screen by swiping right. If the screen is stuck with the Notification message, please try restarting your Charge 5 using the charging cable and let me know if you continue to have the same problem: 

  1. Connect your device to the charging cable. For instructions, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  2. Press the button located on the flat end of the charger 3 times within 8 seconds, holding each press for about 1 second.
  3. Wait 10 seconds or until the Fitbit logo appears.
  4. If the device doesn’t restart, wait 15 seconds to try again.

Thank you for your reply... swipes either way didn't help, but went to my
phone Fitbit app and after that finally settled into the home screen, all
was good. I will save your tips in case of future problems.
