Hello @dandaman82

Have you tried to restart the Charge 5 ?

  1. Connect Charge 5 to the charging cable.
  2. Press the button located on the flat end of the charger 3 times, pausing for 1 second between presses. Then wait 10 seconds or until the Fitbit logo appears.

My charger doesn't have a flat end.

You need to use the charging cable that came with your Fitbit. Look at the USB end of the charging cable. You should see a small button on one side. That is what you need to press to reset/restart your Fitbit.

That reset doesn't do anything.  I talked to FitBit customer service.  Seems I have a bricked unit.

Apparently, many of us have experienced issues such as unresponsive screen and sudden loss of battery power after installing the latest firmware update.

Thankfully, my Charge 5 was still under warranty and my replacement arrived a couple of days ago. So far, my replacement is working fine even after updating the firmware.
