I am noticing the Charge 5 is significantly worse when looking at the bpm (heart rate) numbers when i move or exercise. My Charge 4 was reasonable accurate. I had compared the readings to other accurate devices like the pulse oximeter etc.
Even the sleep accuracy seems worse than 4. In Charge 5, it includes the time laying in bed (even if you are awake and moving). The Charge 4 seemed better and picking this.
Anyone seeing similar problems ?

Hello, welcome to the Fitbit Community forums, @MoreOfWalking.
Thank you for sharing this information about the inconvenience you've been experiencing with your Charge 5.
Before considering other options, I recommend that you try restarting the device using the three pulse restart method mentioned here below, instead of the restart option found on the Charge 5 itself:
This restart procedure should also be helpful if you're having trouble with the accuracy of sleep information. In addition, please follow the instructions in this article to improve the accuracy of heart rate information and check the information mentioned here about other factors that could affect your heart rate reading, this has been useful to other users who have experienced something similar.
Hope this helps, I'll be around.

Hi @MoreOfWalking, I have the exact same problems and more. Waking up very early, lying in bed and Charge 5 tells me I have had both REM and deep sleep during my awake period. After 2 weeks of using this device, I have concluded it is a piece of junk. Will return it for a refund.

Confirmed highly inaccurate but took me a trip to Urgent Care to realize it.
I bought it on Amazon and have been being lied to by Fitbit on my wrist for 6 months and Fitbit does not stand behind this defective toy.
Amazon removed the product page, we can only assume why.

I've had a few fitbits over the years and they're all terrible at tracking heartrate during exercise. If I didn't keep getting them as gifts I'd never buy one
