Charge 5 inaccurate sleep tracking

My Charge 5 says I started sleeping at 9PM last night. I was watching TV sitting up, snacking, using the bathroom, studied some French ate some soup at 1AM drank 32 ozs of water, used the bathroom and finally dozed off around 4AM and woke up around 10AM. Charge 5 gave me 8hrs of sleep from 9PM to my waking time. It did the same thing for Saturday while I was awake. I sit still for two long and it starts the sleep clock. One night this past week it reduced my actual sleep time by 3hrs. Another night it couldn’t read my heart rate for 6 hrs while I slept so it gave no sleep reading. Lately it only records my walk time for 26 mins even though I walked for over and hour. One day I was washing dishes and it said I was swimming for 15mins. Sad news, that swim thing happened once even though I wash dishes with the watch on everyday.  So, washing dishes doesn’t count as weekly exercise. Resetting only pisses it off and it spews out erroneous data. Now it only charges up to 99%. But, battery life is good though. Apple or Samsung must have programmers at Fitbit who are sabotaging the code. There is no way the advanced Charge 5 that Will Smith loves could be so much less efficient than its predecessors or my previous watch which was the first Versa.  I can’t rely on this health reports. Oh I forgot, every now and then it reads my skin temp, my breathing rate and spo2

Just set my charge 5 up and am not getting an Spo2 reading. All of those sleeping problems you mention happened with my prior two Fitbits. Not sure why I am buying them.

Hi, it's good to see you around the forums for the first time, @DJL51

Keep in mind that in order to receive SpO2 information, you need to wear your device for at least a full day, including to sleep at night. If you just set your Charge 5 up, it's possible that you won't see SpO2 immediately.

Fitbit SpO2 app is automatically added for users in select countries. Make sure your device is running the latest version. For more information on updating your tracker, see How do I update my Fitbit device? For more information on the availability of Fitbit SpO2, see fitbit.com.

You should be able to see your SpO2 trends in the Health Metrics tile in the Fitbit app on your phone. To get SpO2 information, you need to:

  1. Wear your device for at least a full day, including to sleep at night.
  2. In the morning, open the Fitbit app and tap the Health Metrics tile.
  3. Swipe up to find the Oxygen Saturation (SpO2) tile.

If you still don't receive your SpO2 information, please follow the steps listed here below:

  1. Verify if your Fitbit profile has the correct location and time zone.
  2. Open the Fitbit app, tap your profile icon > Charge 5 > Apps > SpO2.
  3. Make sure all the permissions are enabled.
  4. Restart your tracker to refresh its performance.
  5. Tap Today at the bottom of the Fitbit app and pull down on the screen to force a manual sync.
  6. Wear your tracker slightly higher on your wrist to sleep and sync it with the Fitbit app once you're awake to check your details.

Hope this helps, I'll be around.
